Robot vacuums and mops are increasingly capable, acing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Look for models that allow you to choose between several modes, utilize their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean app to let you set schedules and customize the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was capable of driving up to walls and even cross raised thresholds without any problems. However it was a bit difficult navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting itself when it was near carpet or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank on board with clean, ozonated water prior to each mopping session. The dock provides a deep-cleaning solution to the water. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 cleaning sessions, but this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to prevent it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a great choice to meet your cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum comes with 8700Pa suction power, and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping ability is impressive. Rotating mop heads actually lift the floor and scrub it instead of just moving a pad across the surface. The mops can also be cleaned and dried at the base station when needed.
The robot comes with a simple interface that guides you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum which can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are two water tanks which are automatically emptied or refilled. It has a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that effortlessly picks up most of the debris, and even smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it could get stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite impressive, and comes with a pair of spin mop heads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to just dragging the pad over it. The mops can also be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the basestation as required. Mops are also refilled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance making it a top contender for our best mop and robot vacuum list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and an extended side brush will ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping performance is augmented by a side brush that moves out to tackle difficult-to-reach corners, and an extending mop pad that is placed along baseboards.
Its navigation is nimble, navigating tight spaces and climbing the stairs without a hitch. It can move from one room to another without changing direction, which is a handy feature for homes with several rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than other models, however, and tends to leave a large space over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app allows you to schedule and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and more. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely for real-time video supervision. But, you'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it through the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does a great job of removing dirt and debris however, it's not able to get every last particle of dust. This is why it's important to use your regular vacuum once every week, and especially to clean dust from corners and on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed specifically for this purpose. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network, and works with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, which includes the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a cheaper plastic body.
Although it's no longer able to clean your floors, the Q5 has some of the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen from a robotic in this price range. It has a strong suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also features a smart application that lets you choose the type of floor and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.
Robot Vacuum Mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any trouble with high-pile carpets and area rug, but it was unable to pick up cat litter or cable tangles and cable tangles, which isn't a surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the quietest robovacs we have tested, it also has a unique method to map your home, which allows it to get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums can't reach. This device also collects dust in a larger bin which means you have to empty it less often. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. The robot is also able to detect carpets and boost the suction if required. The app also lets you to mark areas that you want it to stay clear of, which is a nice feature.
